Centre College recently published an article in the alumni magazine, stating that an unusually high percentage of alumni marry other alumni. (No word on the divorce rate, however.) Why isn't Centre on the list? What criteria were used to compile this list?

Well good think I'm not going to college to find a husband because my current school and future school didn't make the list.

Not BYU? Why not?

I suspect that if you measure its graduates by the percentage that are married by or shortly after graduation, it will be right up there.

My second daughter went there. She reported that a lot of the female students were hunting for their returned missionaries and were intent on marrying and having their families immediately. My daughter said that they called the married student housing section (which was on a hill) rabbit hill for a good reason.

I had a female friend once tell me you're screwed if you either didn't marry your high school sweetheart or find someone in college. Even seen women go for degrees with "find a husband" as the key priority.

It is gone now, but did anyone else notice that the iPod version of this article was originally accompanied by a photo of Jessica Ronhock? Who is the overnight editor anyway? (S)He should start polishing his/her resume.

125? Not going through them all. When I went to college it was at an all male Ivy League institution and I graduated with honors. Since I'm decidedly hetero, there was no chance of love happening there. Today it is coed, and if I were in college there now, I doubt I'd get any studying done... I'd be falling in love with the beautiful, highly intelligent women that abound on campus today.

ASU and UF definitely. I would be an undergrad forever at those schools.

Rice, Harvard and Stanford? Maybe if you are female. As a male, I can tell you that it was slim pickings.

Harvard has certainly changed since I went there in the mid- to late-60s. Now there are numerous highly intelligent and beautiful women in the student body. What a difference.

Seriously, Bob Jones? Do they let black people in yet? Or are they only anti Catholic now?

My fella first caught my eye on the Million Dollar Band practice field that hot August day 1993 at the University of Alabama. It took us two years to actually start talking since I was dating another trumpet player at the time, but we have been together for almost 17 years now. Gotta love those trumpet players! Nothing like having a house united- Roll, Tide Roll !!!!!!!!!
