Prom is on its way and so are truckloads of dresses for girls who can't afford gorgeous gowns for their big night.
Teens who already enjoyed one of high school’s pinnacle moments are donating the dresses they wore to Prom Boutique, a New York charity that outfits girls in need for prom, MyFoxNY reports.
"I got such great use out of the dress when I got to use it myself and I know what the dress meant to me," one donor told MyFoxNY.com. "I hope someone would get the same enjoyment out of it."
The organization, which has donation sites across Long Island, collects about 3,000 dresses a year and offers girls formal wear, accessories and spot alterations.
Prom Boutique will accept dress donations up until April 22. Find a collection site near you here.
