Allen West Runs As Washington Outsider In New Radio Ad

Allen West Ad Overlooks Key Fact About West

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is out with the first radio spot of his re-election bid, wherein he is clearly trying to tap into anti-Washington sentiment in the American public. As the Palm Beach Post points out, the ad also downplays the fact that West is, in fact, the current incumbent in the race.

"Washington, D.C. is a disaster," says the ad's narrator. "It's why Allen West ran for Congress, and it's why he's taking the fight to the Washington establishment."

On Friday, West took his fight against the establishment to the Washington Times, penning an op-ed on why "Obamacare" is bad for America.

As the Supreme Court weighs the constitutionality of the Obama administration's health care reform bill, West made it clear that, in his opinion, the bill is "absolutely not" what the Founding Fathers would have intended.
