There was a time members of progressive house holy trinity Swedish House Mafia would have played Ultra Music Festival or Space or and of the massive clubs on South Beach during Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week.
But at some point, the boys realized they were big enough to start throwing their own parties, and this year, they threw two. A year after a memorable night in a tent on South Beach, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso took over Grand Central Park not only Friday night, but Saturday, too, for an open-air throwdown that went 10,000-strong.
With Calvin Harris, Alesso, Thomas Gold, AN21, and a few others on board (including the Gastropod and Ms. Cheezious food trucks), the group rocked the weekend for sure. Check out photos from Marisa Matluck below, followed by HuffPost's around town liveblog for other MMW events.
