Regular viewers of "Castle" (Mon., 10 p.m. ET on ABC) will remember Richard Castle pouring out his true feelings to Kate Beckett in the Season 3 finale.
At the time she was unconscious after being shot, and he didn't know if she'd pull through.
On Monday night's episode Martha was the voice of reason. She told Castle to go for it and just tell Beckett that he loves her.
"What if she isn't ready?" he asked. "Then she never will be," Martha replied.
Later, Castle watched from behind the two-way mirror as Beckett interrogated a suspect who was pretending to have memory loss.
"Do you want to know trauma?" she asked the suspect. " I was shot in the chest. And I remember every second of it."
Uh oh. As the penny dropped, Castle wondered aloud: "All this time? You remembered?"
