Fierce "Dancing With The Stars" competitor Sherri Shepherd tackled the jive during her second week on ABC's competition show, but admittedly struggled with learning the routine during rehearsal.
Shepherd said she found the jive's fast-paced steps coupled with the "bouncing around" far more challenging than her week 1 foxtrot performance. "I think the jive is a good dance for me if I was twenty pounds lighter and if I was like a decathlon olympian," Shepherd said. "My equipment is way too heavy for all that bouncing around."
Shepherd's dance partner Val Chrmerkovskiy advised that she needed to work on her stamina to get through the dance. Shepherd told Val he needed to learn how to pick her up properly. Shepherd might have fought her way through rehearsals, but she commanded the stage during her live performance.
