Last week, Kim Kardashian was flour-bombed at a promotional event for her new fragrance, and the pictures from the aftermath predictably went viral. Now, it looks like the incident started a trend, based on Chris Elliott's appearance on "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS).
Elliot walked on the set covered in flour and reported that he got flour-bombed while taking photos before coming onto the show. "I feel for Kim Kardashian," he said. "The same thing happened to her a couple of weeks ago, but I'll tell you very honestly, this s**t has been happening to me for 20 years and not a peep from the press."
Luckily, David Letterman's camera crews caught it all on camera, including some rather awkward poses from Elliott before a nondescript, heavy-set man approached from the side and pelted him twice with flour.
Okay, so it was clearly all a gag, but it's certainly a funny way to bring attention to all the media scrutiny the event has gotten. Hopefully, Elliott's tears will grace the covers of all the tabloids next week.
Catch "Late Show with David Letterman" every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
