Thailand's Amazing Floating Movie Theater (PHOTOS)

A German architect working in Beijing took his talents to Thailand recently to unveil a stunning floating movie theater off the island of Kudu Noi, near the resort island of Phuket, Architizer reports.

The stage and screen, framed by fairy tale pillars rising out of the water, were part of the annual Film on the Rocks Yao Noi festival, which took place in March.

Spearheading the festival, which works with the Six Senses Yao Noi resort, is filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul and actress Tilda Swinton. It's not her first experience in Thailand: She starred along Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2000 film "The Beach," which was filmed in the nearby Phi Phi islands and catapulted them to world-wide fame.
