Truck Spills Gravel Onto Beltway

WASHINGTON -- A truck spilled its load of gravel onto the Capital Beltway in Maryland on Friday morning, temporarily blocking all lanes of the outer loop in Prince George's County.

As of 9:40 a.m., two lanes of northbound I-95/I-495 remained closed near the exit for MD-450/Annapolis Road as road crews cleaned up the mess.

Delays were extensive, causing backups for 9 miles.
