Mega Millions Numbers To Be Revealed Tonight, March 30 (INFO)

Tonight's the night. The latest Mega Millions numbers will be picked in a drawing at 11 p.m. ET.

The $640 million jackpot is the world's largest ever, and excitement is spreading throughout the nation. Even a gorilla got in on the action.

Some are already fantasizing about what they'd do if they win, and the odds are pretty high that for at least one person fantasy will become a reality. A Mega Millions spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times there is a 95% chance someone will win the jackpot tonight based on all the combinations sold.

According to the official Mega Millions website, here's how the drawing works:

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 56; one ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 46. You win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date. There are nine ways to win a prize, from $2 to the jackpot. If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the jackpot for the next drawing. Overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 40.

There's also more at stake than just the jackpot. You can find how much you'd win if you match only some of the numbers here.

To see the winning numbers revealed live, you should seek out your local television affiliate broadcasting the drawing. Check the Mega Millions website and pick your state under "Where To Play" to learn which local affiliate to watch.

One way to find the winning numbers later is to check the Mega Millions website, which will post them here. But there's a chance the site will be overloaded with traffic and go down.

You can also try searching Twitter for the winning numbers, but make sure you look for reputable sources like lottery accounts or news organizations.

You are wasting your money on this. I predicted the winning ticket would be sold in either Maryland, Rhode Island, Virginia or one of the New England states. This game is rigged. The higher tax bracket states will always "win" in my view. That is why single state lotteries should be the only form and drawing should take place more than once a week. Smaller amounts but the game would be fairer and more people would actually win.

Well let's see, IL is on the lower side so there's one debunk. Megamillions draws twice a week, so there's #2 miss. Many states already offer their own lottery and play them daily.

No thanks. I have no desire to be a millionaire and mess up my easy way of liven.
I'm in the backwoods of heaven,no bills except food,run off small amount of electric,heat from
woodburning stove,food I hunt or fish,furniture I make,and my old blue tick hound by myside.

Is this seriously an article about how to find out the winning lotto numbers? This article is a waste of space. If someone actually needs to read an article on how to find out whether their ticket won or not, they don't deserve to win the lottery.

I don't understand why far more people run to buy lottery tickets only when the winning stakes are highest. Your chances of winning $500 M are no better than if it was $1 M. The government could cash in if they ran an independent federal $500 M lottery once a month. If would help pay down the deficit in no time

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the dollar amount of the lottery depends on the number of tickets bought. The gov't couldn't just declare the lottery be $500 million from the start. There has to be ticket sales well above the jackpot number beforehand. Other than that, I think your idea has some merit.

The government could set the pot amount where ever they like. The lottery would simply mean the the process by which the winning ticket is selected. For example, the prize: a car, home, ect. It is a set prize not dependant on number of participants

Why can't be 640 $1M winners instead of 1 person winning it all? The probability of winning million is then 640 times more. That is like buying 640 tickets for price of 1 ticket. You still be still very happy winning a million. I think there really is something wrong with our senses that we fall for this and not for that.
