Trayvon Martin Shooting: Voice Experts Claim Cries Heard On 911 Call Were Not George Zimmerman's

Posted: 03/31/2012 11:20 pm Updated: 04/ 2/2012 8:43 am

George Zimmerman 911 Call

Before George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin on February 26, a 911 call recorded the voice of someone screaming. Whether that person was Martin or Zimmerman -- who police say claimed he was attacked by Martin before the fatal incident -- has been an open question since the calls were released by the Sanford, Florida police department. (WARNING: Above audio is disturbing.)

The Orlando Sentinel consulted two voice experts to try to settle the debate, and both came to the same conclusion: The cries could not have come from George Zimmerman.

One expert, Tom Owen, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman as the source. From the Sentinel:

"I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else," Owen says.

The software compared that audio to Zimmerman's voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he'd expect higher than 90 percent.

"As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it's not Zimmerman," Owen says, stressing that he cannot confirm the voice as Trayvon's, because he didn't have a sample of the teen's voice to compare.

Another analyst came to a similar conclusion using different technology.

The voice analysis is the latest piece of information to cast doubt on the narrative, advanced by Zimmerman and his family, that the Neighborhood Watch volunteer was attacked by 17-year-old Travyon Martin. A police video this week showed no blood or bruises on Zimmerman in the aftermath of the incident, while Martin's funeral director said he saw no signs of a struggle on the teen's body.

CORRECTION: A previous headline for this story stated that voice experts claimed the cries on the 911 call came from Trayvon Martin. In fact, they only said that the cries did not come from George Zimmerman.

I'm serious about this question does any one know if forensic tests were done on Georges underwear. All the evidence I need to convict George for a sex crime is in his pants.

Looking at the way George used the Sanford police I don't think it ever occurred to him that the murder would be examined. I don't think George even considered he would be arrested for this murder. He planned the killing to the second but he didn't consider the amount of evidence he created doing it. What makes George Zimmerman so special. People go out and murder innocent defenceless young men every night of the week in America. Why has George been singled out. Why is every one picking on him?

Here's a test: Go to GOOGLE and see how many different pictures you can find of Zimmerman's head injuries. There are at least three different ones. The very first photo that was shown of Zimmerman's injuries showed what appeared to be head injuries on a bald portion of Zimmerman's head. I remember posting a comment about that. The next picture that came out showed a lot of blood running down Zimmerman's head. And now the latest photos show Zimmerman with no bald spot. The hair appears to be evenly cut all around however in the first photo in which they show Zimmerman at the police station in which there was a big X marks the spot injury there appeared to be a bald spot on Zimmerman's head in which the scar was located. The photo that has all the blood running down and the recent photos that were released show that no bandages were applied which seems to be really odd. If someone is bleeding from the head and they are treated for their injuries; there should be some sort of bandage on their head. The lies are not adding up. Everyone knows that Zimmerman did not go to the hospital. The police claim he was treated at the scene. Then why wasn't there a bandage on Zimmerman's head to stop the blood from flowing? Why wasn't there any blood on the back of Zimmerman's jacket?

Here is another test. The kid had a cell phone, why did he not call the police instead of fighting with Zimmerman?

From what I heard in the background of witnesses' 911 calls, there was no struggle, no fight. Only Trayvon's voice first crying out in pain, then calling for help, immediately followed by a gunshot. Trayvon had no opportunity to call anyone while he was being hunted by zimmerman, and less once zimmerman caught up to him.
As we now know, zimmerman is a liar; if he could look the judge in the face and falsely claim poverty regarding his financial ability to pay his bail bond (with over $150,000 in the bank) his credibility is in the gutter, along with his morals.
01:36 PM on 05/18/2012
Zimmerman had the gun; Trayvon was not aware that Zimmerman had a gun until that gun was pointed at him. There was no logical reason for Zimmerman to cry for help when he had the gun.

in response to the comment "Many Americans are outraged because treyvon was murdered..." this commenter makes valid point that Treyvon did nothing wrong to be shot at. "He was simply walking down the street." i understand why he looked suspicious, because he was in a hoodie and some people reference hoodies with trouble however this stereotype needs to end. people need to stop thinking this wayand be more open minded. i also agree with the previous commenter that just because Treyvon had previous school record that weren't spotless clean, does mean he's a bad person. Zimmerman knew none of those things before he shot him. and like the commenter said, "Its irrelevant". Zimmerman needs to be found and convicted of this awful crime he committed. Zimmerman also is not a police officer, he even disobeyed the actual police and went and shot TRreyvon. there is no reason that he shouldn't serve justice, because of his race, because of his fathers job, because of anything. justice news to be served.

Would Trayvon have looked less suspicious if he was a white person in a hoodie? He probably would have to George Zimmerman. Trayvon was an A and B student in school. At the Community College that Zimmerman attended, he was a C, D, and F student. The most suspicious looking character on the prowl that faitful night was George Zimmerman himself. Trayvon's girlfriend was an ear witness. What she said she heard via their cell phones makes Zimmerman appear to be a bold-faced-liar. She is also a Prosecution witness. Why would Trayvon attack Zimmerman while talking on a cell phone? Zimbeciles have tried to demonize Trayvon but this has made more ugly facts about Zimmerman come out. It would behoove George Zimmerman to stop lying and come clean.

This case seem really strange to me from the beginning. If a Police Officer shoots and kill a person while on duty or off, they are immediately place on Administrative duties until an investigation has been done. The investigation takes more than one day to gather evidence. My question to Sanford Florida Police Department, WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS DO AN INVESTIGATION? Not just a questioning and taking Zimmerman's story A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION-This is protocol and common sense. If STAND YOUR GROUND LAW definition is shoot and tell you story and walk free without an investigation we are all in deep trouble! Tha t means anyone that don't like you can kill you and all you have to say is I FELT THREATEN no more question asked-you walk free!

How can the voice ID software determine from the 911 call? Zimmerman's voice was lowered, almost a whisper, when he was talking to the 911 dispatcher. The screams sound like Zimmerman.
Zimmerman was not 250 pounds and Trayvon was 6"3" tall.

You zimbecile! Trayvon was 6' 1". Zimmerman out weighed him by more than 50lbs. You don't have to be a Rocket Scientist or an Albert Einstein to know that the screams for help did not come from George Zimmerman. Why would he scream for help in the first place? He had a gun!

One so hotheaded that he can't control his temper even when confronted by police usually does not scream for help when fighting someone of smaller size, especially if he is the only one with a gun:

"He had a temper and he became a liability...George lost his cool and totally overreacted. ... It was weird...he got all nuts. He picked her up and threw her. It was pure rage. She twisted her ankle. Everyone was flipping out." In 2005, the same year that Zimmerman lost his security guard job, he was also arrested for "resisting officer with violence" and "battery of law enforcement officer," both third-degree felonies.....his ex-fiancee, Veronica Zuazo, alleged domestic violence and filed a motion for a restraining order in 2005."

And why must Black people always believe that a white-sheet wearing bogeyman awaits them around every corner, under every bed, and in every closet? Last we checked, it was Black people who were responsible for 90 percent of the interracial crime between whites and Blacks in America. (73% according to the 2008 FIB-Uniform Crime Report-no 90%)

And it is Black people killing fellow Black people in cities all across the nation, especially in Detroit, where vigilante killings are rising because the overwhelmingly Black police force is perhaps the most inept in all of America at doing its job. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Detroit's police force operates year-around, as the New Orleans police force did in the days after Katrina.

White people in America just want safety. They want peace of mind. Perhaps this is why gun sales are through the roof right now? Some have said President Obama is the greatest guns salesman of all time, and they'd be wrong. The threat of wide-scale Black violence or the random Black thug trying to mug you always has been (at least since the Indian threat was neutralized).

Which being a Native American I found replosive..

"White people in America just want safety."
So black people don't want safety? Every time a white person kills a black it's self-defense? Black people are never victims of hate crimes?

I don't think Americans know how bloodthirsty they are because they so rarely go to other countries. Reading Huffpost gives me the feeling that millions of Americans are living in the 19th century. Not the 20th or 21st but the 19th. Murder in America is like a game show. It's entertainment. In Australia human beings have value above the needs of the media. How can you have allowed your country to go back 200 years. The 21st century is fantastic but I guess you'll never know if you never go.
