'The Good Wife' Finale: Final Season 3 Episodes Promo (VIDEO)

'The Good Wife' Preview: Peter's New Opponent & Cary's Back!?

"The Good Wife" finale is just weeks away and from the looks of this promo, it'll be a doozy.

In the new promo for the final three episodes of Season 3, Peter has one very tense elevator ride with Matthew Perry's Mike Kresteva, visits his mom in the hospital -- perhaps her confrontation with Alicia is too much for Jackie to handle -- and gets Alicia's blessing to climb the political later. "You'd be a good governor," Alicia says. "Run, Peter."

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The new promo features Cary and the Lockhart/Gardner gang out at drinks, "We welcome you, back to the dark side," Alicia says to Cary as they toast.

"What's wrong?" Kalinda asks Alicia. "Everything," Alicia responds.

Are you gasping yet? I am. (In fact, my gasp count in this promo is a whopping three in a mere 30 seconds.)

"The Good Wife" returns with new episodes on Sun., April 15 at 9 p.m. ET. The Season 3 finale airs Sun., April 29. Rest easy, "The Good Wife" will be back for a Season 4 on CBS. Read the official episode description for "No Ordinary Lie" below.

As Alicia counsels a client whether to accept a strict plea deal, she's distracted by Peter's newest political rival, whose actions force her back into the public spotlight, on "The Good Wife," Sun., April 15 (9-10 p.m. ET) on CBS. Matthew Perry returns as Mike Kresteva and Parker Posey returns as Vanessa Gold.
