'The Killing' Premiere: Richmond Gets Bad News And Then Bittersweet Good News

The most polarizing show on cable returned with a two-hour premiere, and still no idea who killed Rosie Larsen, as "The Killing" (Sun., 8 p.m. ET on AMC) returned with plenty of rain, and plenty of fallout from that season finale. In the finale, it was revealed that the photographic evidence damning Richmond had been a fake, and Holder knew it.

Linden returned to Seattle and discovered that the Rosie Larsen case is a lot bigger than anyone predicted. By the end of the two hour block, Holder started to realize the larger picture going on that Linden had been chasing the past two days. With the two of them forced together again and allowed to work on the case, though, he's going to have to do a lot to regain her trust. She wouldn't even open the door for him.

The producers are promising the answer to the big question will be answered by this season's finale. By then the show will have been on for 26 episodes, so fans can just think of it as a big first season by broadcast network standards, and they still got that answer by the end of it. Or maybe just enjoy all the twists and turns ... and rain.

"The Killing" settles into its regular time slot starting next Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
