Free Cone Day 2012: Where To Get Free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream (INTERACTIVE MAP)

Ice cream lovers: Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day is back.

On Tuesday, between noon and 8 p.m. in select stores, you can have your pick of Ben & Jerry's famously chunky ice cream flavors, frozen yogurt and new Greek Frozen Yogurt.

SCROLL DOWN TO FIND A SCOOP SHOP NEAR YOU

According to Ben & Jerry's, Free Cone Day first began in 1979 as a way for Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, the company's founders, to thank their customers. It's continued each year since then, and now around 800 shops in North America, Europe and Asia participate. Hours and participation may vary depending on your location, so be sure to check with your local Ben & Jerry's for more information.

So what's it going to be? Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream? Blueberry Vanilla Graham Greek Frozen Yogurt? Phish Food?

Check out the map below to find the closest Ben & Jerry's, and head over there for your free cone.

Clarification: We didn't want you to think that every Ben & Jerry's in the world is giving away free ice cream all day, so we added language to reflect that participation may vary. Check the map or contact your local scoop shop before you rush out the door!

Nice little thing they do, top blokes. Shame it will be made to stop when the food police pick on them claiming it's manipulating children and dumb people to try out their product! Soon we will be told they are as evil as the tobacco companies! And a small tub will cost £20 to help pay for the health problems their product causes!

Sigh. Why do I always see these articles long after the expiration date?

Not driving that far for a free ice cream cone. I can go up to the store a minute a way and buy it. Cheaper than the gas it would take to get there.

That's it? One place in downtown baltimore? That really sucks. Forget you Ben & Jerry. I'm not buying your expensive stuff anymore.

2 problems-
1) I can't find my location on this map
2) It's already Wednesday afternoon here, so I guess it's too late for free ice-cream

With the price of gas, you'd spend more driving to get it then it would cost to buy a container at the local store.

Depends on where you live. My nearest scoop shop is a 10 minute drive from my apartment...if that...

However, since I've been eating healthier, I had no problem with passing up the offer.

Ben and Jerry's is a highly liberal company and the owners spend significant money supporting the democratic party. It's great ice cream but I won't be buying any until after November.

You didn't hear? The presidents new mandate requires that you can only buy fat free, sugar free Sherbert from here on out? You don't think that's coming down the pipe soon if he gets his way with healthcare? Don't laugh, New York City already has a legislation in the pipe to reduce or prohibit salt in NYC restaraunts. It won't be long before the Upper East Side Liberal Elitists are scheduling weekly visits to your house to audit your fridge and cabinets....
