'Birth Of A Book' Shows Suzanne St Albans' 'Mango and Mimosa' Getting Made (VIDEO)

How A Book Is Made, Offline

Traditional book publishing is a laborious, multi-step process involving the work of man and machine together. The Daily Telegraph features this craft in their short vignette "Birth of a Book."

The 2-minute video shows the massive amount of working it takes to make one book from start to finish. Shot in England at the Smith-Settle Printers, the video shows a slew of workers printing Suzanne St Albans’ "Mango and Mimosa."

The craft of traditional publishing may be falling to the wayside with the emergence of e-literature, but for the few remaining artisan houses "Birth of a Book" is a beautiful look into the art.
