Josh McRoberts Buzzer Beater: Lakers Center Nails Off-Balanced Shot (VIDEO)

Lakers Reserve Makes Awkward Buzzer Beater

In the climactic moments of a game, the Lakers have turned to Kobe Bryant to make a clutch shot for the last decade and change. But when it comes to the final seconds of the first quarter, it's fair game for anyone to take the last shot.

Lakers reserve center Josh McRoberts was up for the task on Tuesday night against the Nets. With four seconds remaining in the first, L.A. point guard Ramon Sessions inbounded the ball to McRoberts near half court. McRoberts, starting in place of Andrew Bynum, who was out with an injured ankle, took it from there, making two very awkward behind-the-back moves before hoisting a fadeaway jumper from 15 feet out.

And, somehow, the ball went in, surprising everyone in the Staples Center, including the Lakers' announcers.

Kobe took over in the fourth quarter as the Lakers went on to win 91-87.
