Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 9/11 Suspects Referred To Military Crimes Tribunal At Guantanamo Bay

WASHINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) - Accused Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four suspected co-conspirators were referred on Wednesday to trial before a Guantanamo war crimes tribunal on charges that could carry the death penalty, the Pentagon said.

The five are charged with terrorism, hijacking aircraft, conspiracy, murder in violation of the law of war and other counts, and were referred to a capital military tribunal, meaning they could be sentenced to death if convicted, the Pentagon said. I think the American public needs to see these persons on trial here at home. I think that these prosecutions have been so botched that the military is trying to hide something.

We do not want this to be some secret tribunal in some secret corner of the world!

We were the one's attacked. We want to see them in our courts. We want the victory over these men to be the victory of our system of justice over their system of brutality.

We want to collectively look these men in the face and say "See we are better than you." And we want the world to see us do that as a nation.

Then we can sentence them to a well deserved death.

Not sure what the prescribed method of death is if they receive the death penalty but I am willing to bet that given the opportunity, a number of 9/11 surviving familes can come up with some pretty neat methods.
