It was like the battle rounds all over again, only this time it was Cee Lo Green facing off against Simon Cowell and "The X Factor." Green was on "The Tonight Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC), where he was inevitably asked how he feels his show, "The Voice," will fare this coming fall season when it has to face off against Cowell's "X Factor."
"The premises of each show are just completely different," Green said, then adding, "I think if anybody should be concerned, it’s them.”
Considering "The Voice" is running neck and neck with TV's perennial -- but much smaller this year -- juggernaut "American Idol" in the ratings, Green may have reason to feel confident. "The X Factor" underperformed both the network's and Cowell's expectations and is currently undergoing a rather significant overhaul.
For now, enjoy Cee Lo Green every Monday at 7 p.m. ET and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC's "The Voice," and then come back for the epic battle in Fall 2012.
