Brian White Killed Ex-Girlfriend's Mother, New Boyfriend, Self In Michigan, Police Say

Cops investigate the scene of a grisly murder Wednesday which left a girl's new boyfriend, her mom and her killer ex-boyfriend dead.

A 19-year-old whose girlfriend broke up with him snapped on Wednesday and went on a bloody rampage, killing his ex's new boyfriend, her mom, and then himself, police said.

Brian Douglas White went to the home of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend, and allegedly killed her mom, 46-year-old Angela Staperfene, then brutally attacked his ex's current boyfriend, 19-year-old Jacob Burns, with an axe to the head, WJBK reported.

The 17-year-old unidentified girl reportedly suffered injuries in the massacre, but was able to run outside at about 12:20 p.m. and call 911.

Cops arrived to find White dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The horrific crime was a shock to the quiet community in Livonia.

"Our hearts do go out to the families of the decease," the Lansing State Journal reported Mayor Jack Kirksey as saying. "[This is a] great tragedy."

Friends told the Detroit Free Press that Staperfene had mentioned her daughter's problems with White in the past.

Staperfene was described as a strong woman.

"If Angie had anything to do with it to defend herself, I'm sure she went out in a blaze of glory," Nancy Radtke told the paper. "She was a feisty person."

Its not 'ohh whats happening to our county' stuff. This terrible stuff has been happening to people since...forever! People have been killing over love gone bad for decades. Some people are just sick and need to refrain from relationships until they are mature enough to handle it and sham on his parents! If they raised a mentally unstable son and refused to see the signs, they are to blame as well.

What in the world happens to people who just can't let go? What makes them so intent on ruining their lives and everybody else's because they can't have what they want? What do parents do to their children to make them NOT have any self control? This has to come from home training I would think. I'm a firm believer in how we nurture our children is the prime element in who or what they will be in life. From my extensive reading, that seems to be the case for all deviants who have changed the course of history for themselves and those they have come in contact with. They all seemed to have had questionable relationships with their parents or no relationship at all.

Funny how males gripe about how emotional women/girls are...males gripe when females are PMSing, yet women/girls have to live with the constant threat of violence at the hands of males...When women get emotional, they get 'bitchy'...when males get emotional, they get violent/abusive...females aren't angels, but they certainly are NOT as bad as males..{ If females killed males at the rate that males are killing females, then females would be radio-collared, placed on curfew, and not allowed in public without notifying the authorities...}

Hey there I won't argue with you--FBI statistics-- when you watch any show that has some kind of "catch" then everything will be based on that point of view...Women are Not angels, but if women really did kill as often as males, then there would be more prisons--anyhoo, I don't watch TV shows--not just b/c of their slant--I don't have a TV--but I do read and watch the the news: fold a notebook paper in half, one side MALE, the other side FEMALE and read/watch the news for a year: tally marks for murderers...count them...

To attribute this heinous crime to any facts other than an immature boyfriend who couldn't take rejection is absurd. Remember, the human brain isn't fully developed until age 27. Adults who do similar crimes are controlling and can't take rejection, either.

Since he let her live...when he could have shot her, demonstrates he wanted her to live with the lifelong misery of survivors guilt...or he only had one bullet. Her judgment to dump him was right, but she in no way is responsible for his actions. Nor, is anyone else...but, him.

I don't think his intentions were to let her live, he managed to escape with few injuries, at that age passions can be quite high, the girl already had a new boyfriend and he could not tolerate that, he blamed everyone involved for the breakup.
