Nikki Haley Compared To Snooki, Kardashians By South Carolina Democratic Party Leader

South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian compared Nikki Haley to the Kardashians and Snooki in taking aim at the Palmetto State's Republican governor on Thursday.

Harpootlian criticized Haley in a press release over how she's demonstrated her support for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

"South Carolina Republican Governor Nikki Haley has spent more time in the last month outside the state traveling with Mitt Romney and appearing on national television programs promoting herself than she has on promoting jobs for South Carolinians or meeting with the Republican legislature to pass meaningful tax reform," he said. "Only 18 months in office and she has already written her biography. It used be that only people who accomplished something significant had biographies written, but in the age of Snooki and Kardashian celebrities it should be no surprise Nikki Haley draws some national curiosity."

Haley's memoir, Can’t Is Not an Option, was released earlier this week. She endorsed Romney in the GOP primary race last December and has made appearances alongside the candidate on the trail.

Despite Haley's support for Romney, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich came out on top in South Carolina's primary election in January.

It appears the War on Women is more of a liberal policy. Imagine if someone asked a black, female politician is she would tip a black cab driver more than others. Or lets compare a black, female politician to some sleasy black female rapper or other low life. You guys would be yelling from the top of mountains. Liberals are the party of hypocricy.

Teddy LJ, you are joking, right? Racism is exactly what this story is about. I even gave an example in my post please read again. Nikki Haley is from the same ethnic back ground as the cab driver and the two so-called celebrities mentioned in the article. If a black female politician were asked the same questions about a black cab driver and were compared to two black, low life celebrities that would also be racisim. It works both ways my man.

chrisjlll, I didn't bring it up. the reporter who asked Nikki Haley if she would give a bigger tip to a cab driver of her same ethnicity. also, Nikki was compared to two other women who are of her ethnicity but far down the ladder of class which was an insult to Ms. Haley. But the entire article was racial. Nothing to do with me, I simply commented on the hypocricy of it. If Nikke were black and the cab driver were black and the same reported asked if she would tip the black cab driver more because they are both the same race, that would be a racist comment. same exact thing.

Desperation for Romney is setting in as he will have to try to find a running mate after everyone he has approached has already said "No way." Haley is probably being courted and as she knows she won't be reelected is willing to take a stab at it.

Romney/Haley = Mcain/Palin. The only difference is that Haley will be taught a little history BEFORE she embarrasses herself and Republicans, not after.

Would that apply to r a c e also, is that why 97% of the African American vote went to Barrack Obama, one would need not to use much critical thinking to realize that r a c e and g e n d e r have a lot to do with real life results.

I would point out to you the ethically challenged Maxine Waters as a good example of someone that is elected mainly on g e n d e r and r a c e. Who has paid her daughter and other family members hundreds of thousands from her campaign funds war chest. As well as being under current investigation for her actions in getting a bail out for a bank that her husband worked for and that kept their stock (a joint community asset)_ from becoming worthless. Or for that matter Charles Rangel that was re elected by record margins, after his false financial and tax filings, and improper use of junkets. Relected in the same district as where Adam Clayton Powell was re elected after being convicted and jailed for financial crimes.

I think the comparison is not far off, although she could have been better compared to Palin, who was also more about fame and fortune than actually DOING anything. And for all of you who would call the comparison sexist, comparing her to any of the MEN on those shows is actually WORSE.
