Obakki Fall 2012 Collection Inspired By South Sudan (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

WATCH: Obakki's Stunning Fall Campaign

There are few fashion companies that transcend beyond producing beautiful garments and in turn impact the world around them in a big and beautiful way.

Obakki is one of those rare and oh-so-important collections.

Known for exquisite draping and exceptional fabrics, Obakki combines fashion and philanthropy through its eponymous foundation that was launched in 2009. Proceeds from the clothing collection cover 100 percent of The Obakki Foundation's operating costs and humanitarian causes.

This year the company has focused its efforts and resources on relieving South Sudan from its water crisis. Treana Peake, Obakki's founder and creative director, was drawn to the African country's inspiring landscape and rich history both personally and creatively.

With that said, Obakki’s fall collection is filled with bold and earthy colors, luxurious textures and eye-catching patterns that tell the story of a land brimming with optimism and beauty.

Huff Post Black Voices caught up with Peake during New York Fashion Week in February where she told us that there will be 300 water wells drilled by the end of this month. Amazing!
