Almost Pizza: 'SNL' Skewers Processed Food Industry With Fake Pizza Commercial

Ever been a bit hesitant to buy one of those frozen pizza dinners? This "SNL" commercial skewers the frozen pizza industry by hawking a "new" product, Almost Pizza. "It's practically pizza in every way, except for a few key words," says Kristen Wiig.

Things really take a turn for the worse after the pizza starts getting hotter instead of colder, and it breaks like glass when thrown on the kitchen floor, only to them re-form and slither under the fridge.

It wasn't a very good SNL this week but this had my boyfriend and I cracking up. Bill Hader was especially hilarious demanding to know what was actually IN it.

So... this sketch isn't about processed food. It's making fun of a series of commercials - "It's not delivery, it's DiGiorno." This takes it to the next level - "It's not pizza, it's almost pizza." So... this whole entry on HuffPo is off the mark.
