First dog Bo Obama takes his inspiration from the Easter Bunny, according to President Barack Obama's campaign.

It's not the first time Bo has been captured on camera wearing bunny ears. The Portuguese Water Dog appeared in a video released by the White House last month promoting the annual Easter Egg Roll.

Below, more details on the event via the White House website:

On Monday April 9, 2012, the First Family will host the 134th annual White House Easter Egg Roll. This year's theme is “Let's Go, Let's Play, Let's Move” and more than 35,000 people will be joining us on the South Lawn for games, stories, and, of course, the traditional egg roll on the Lawn.

35,000 people invited to the Whitehouse "Egg Roll"....you have got to be kidding. How much is that little fiasco costing the taxpayers? This administration just keeps borrowing and spending and prints more money to cover it. They just spent a ton of money on one of their daughters spring break in Mexico with a bunch of her friends and a couple of dozen security agents, etc. all paid for by a combination of taxpayer money and money borrowed from China. This administration is either out of control or just plain incompetent, or just likes to stick it in the face of those paying the bills.

I often wonder.........if he could talk.....what would he say?

I see folks where I live dressing poochie in little pink sweaters, bows and barettes, little lacy slippers, etc and think......"if they could only talk".

Good thing dogs are "man's best friend"...HA.

As a lifelong fan and owner of furfaced rescue felines...I've never met a cat that would permit this at all.

I tried to put a body leash on one of my cats once.......and it took 3 stitches to close the gash.

As goofy as the bows, sweaters, barettes, etc. may look, I'd rather see people dressing up their dogs and polishing their toenails than sticking shock collars on them and leaving them out in their yards like so much patio furniture.
