Bubba Watson Shows Emotion After Winning 2012 Masters (VIDEO)

Bubba Watson hugs his mother Mollie after winning the Masters golf tournament following a sudden death playoff on the 10th hole Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Rather than let out a defiant sequence of yells like Tiger Woods did after winning at Bay Hill recently, Bubba Watson's reaction to winning the 2012 Masters was tender and poignant.

After sinking his second putt on the 10th green to win the playoff against Louis Oosthuizen, Watson bent down to pick up his keepsake from the cup. By the time he had risen, his eyes were watery with tears. He turned into an embrace with his caddie Ted Scott, his shoulders heaving with his emotion. While he shared that moment with Scott, Watson's mother came trotting out onto the green. The pair shared another touching moment.

Watson's wife, Angie, was not in attendance at Augusta National because she was at home in Florida with the couple's infant son, Caleb. Just about two weeks ago, the couple adopted the 1-month-old boy.

“I haven’t changed a diaper yet, so probably going to have to change one pretty soon,” Watson said after the win. “I can’t wait to get back.”

This triumph at the 2012 Masters marks the first major win for the 33-year-old Watson. He previously came closest during the 2010 PGA Championship as his father was struggling with cancer, when his emotions were again on display. Watson's father would eventually succumb to his illness.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was moved by Watson's authenticity. With United in good position to celebrate a title of its own coming up, we can check back and see how Ferdinand handles it.

Upon making his way to Butler Cabin, Watson sat down with Jim Nantz of CBS and Augusta Chairman Billy Payne to discuss his memorable hook shot and the range of emotions he was experiencing. He also had last year's Masters champion Charl Schwartzel help him into the iconic green jacket.

Watson's comment to Schwartzel -- "I look like you know" -- after donning his jacket suggests that the former Georgia Bulldog hadn't totally lost his sense of humor amidst the sea of emotion. If that's the case then it's possible that Watson's handshake fakeout on Payne around the 1:40 mark was intentional. Does the fact that Watson owns the car from 'Dukes Of Hazzard' make it more or less likely that he left Payne hanging on purpose?

He was on Letterman last night and so funny! Very dry wit.
He is obviously the new generation of golfers. He definitely marches to the beat of his own drum and I respect and admire that about hime.

You can really tell that everyone is certainly quite UNDERWHELMED to have BUBBA as the new Masters Champ by the response to this article......I think BUBBA needs to take his Dukes of Hazard car and go back home to "Daisy" and the youngun'

Problems I have with Bubba, he is 6 foot 2 rail thin and named BUBBA, really.
He has a pink driver, you have to have game to play a pink driver.
How do you wear white before summer.
People named Bubba shouldnt be crying like that.

Things I like about almost everything else, go bubba.
