Just before I read this article I read one about a big fluff at Rutgers about a satire of Hitler in a student satirical newspaper. People are in an uproar, and the university is deciding whether to take action.

Why is anything what is viewed as an attack on the Jews - even if it is satirical or a comment on Israel's policies - met with howls of "anti-semitism" ? But people are free to attack Christinas on their holiest of holidays without any protest? If you are not a believer, fine, but please refrain from being just downright mean.

I am struck by the almost total lack of joy on the faces of believers in this slideshow (except for the Malawi women). Is it any wonder there are so many doubters (let alone cynics) when we Christians fail to reflect our core belief? We can sing and shout "Jesus is risen!" all we want, but it will have little effect in the world until it has first transformed our own hearts, minds and lives. (Here endeth the sermon!)

That right. Jesus came back from the dead.

The earth is also flat.

The moon is made of cheese.

And there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow.
02:42 AM on 04/09/2012
Yeah, and there's also no such thing as oxygen, because you can't see it...right? and that "gravity" non-sense is something right out of a science fiction novel.

You got the first one right.

Yes lots of people thought the earth was flat. Science has also been wrong in a lot of things so what is your point?

The moon is not made of cheese.

I could never get to a rainbow to find out. You?

I know you are being sarcastic. I just think it is the minority of people like you who think they know it all. NOW that is funny!

I only learned about the Sorbians when I found that Wikipedia has versions in both Upper and Lower Sorbian. I've learned about a lot of languages that way.

Here's Lower Sorbian:

Uniwersum (z łat. universus "ceły", z unus a versus "do jadnogo pśewobrośone") jo powšykne zapśimjeśe za cełk wšyknych wěcow a objektow. We wósebnem měnimy z tym swětnišćo abo Kosmos (z grich.

And Upper Sorbian:

Hižo w lěće 1319 naspomni so mjeno Oztrow. Wjeska wupřestrěwa so wot lěweho brjoha Klóšterskeje wody hač horje ke Kopcam, po blišej wokolinje derje widźomnym wjeršku.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! He is risen and he gives us new life. The only one and true God, Jesus Christ, reigns supreme over death, hell, and the grave. I am glad to know him in the power of his resurrection, to be baptized in his name, and to have the baptism of the Holy Ghost. What a joy to be able to stand with fellow Christians all over the world to celebrate this wonderful day.

After reading your post, here are some scriptural references you may do well to consider:

*Christ is God’s Son and is inferior to him: Matt. 3:17; John 8:42; 14:28; 20:17; 1 Cor. 11:3; 15:28
*Christ was first of God’s creations: Col. 1:15; Rev. 3:14
*Hell is mankind’s common grave: Job 14:13; Rev. 20:13, 14

Jesus isn't even unique in his own creation. He was copied from about 10 other imaginary gods.

All the "Good Christians" are celebrating Easter In America, too - Joe Walsh and the conservatives, those Republicans who are bent on hate, and the racist on both sides of the spectrum.

Have to love the hypocrisy in America!!!

It's funny how Easter brings out all the so-called Christians. The Catholic Church had people lined out the doors and the Methodist had 10 times the congregation as usual.

Do you even know what you are saying or just hate Christians so much?

Matthew 7

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Good job judging others based on the attendance one one day a year. You have no idea what all those people do in their lives in terms of being Christians. Just another shot by another atheist. I guess the theory of "throw enough mud against the wall" works very well for you. Atheists have some of the most prejudicial minds that I have encountered. They constantly judge all religion based on the acts of one or a few. They judge a particular religious group (Catholic, Methodist, etc.) based on the acts of one or a few. Now in this post, you are simply throwing a wide judgmental net out there, knowing NOTHING about these people who are complaining about. I thought atheists chastised Christians for being non-tolerant? It's ironic that all those who spread this message are in fact themselves non tolerant, just because someone is of faith.

The photos above is of an Orthodox bishop, not a priest. Huffington Post needs to get its act together.
