Jaleel White Fears The Suspenders Because Of Urkel On 'Styled By June'

After nine seasons as Steve Urkel on "Family Matters," Jaleel White was known for a certain fashion statement, but it wasn't one he was particularly fond of. Now all grown up and appearing on "Dancing With the Stars," White wanted a style makeover, so he checked in to "Styled by June" (Mon., 9:30 p.m. ET on VH1).

There, she learned quickly that he had a very strong aversion to one particular look: suspenders. "The fact that June keeps pulling out these braces is really making me nervous," White said of the suspenders. "We’re gonna have a conversation about that."

But finally, she got him into a pair of them, and showed him that suspenders can be stylish. It was a style breakthrough as well as perhaps something of an emotional one as well for the former child actor.

Jaleel White can be seen sporting all kinds of new styles on "Dancing With the Stars," Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. "Styled by June" continues Mondays at 9:30 p.m. ET on VH1.
