Chris Christie Falls Asleep At Bruce Springsteen Concert

Chris Christie Bruce Springsteen

Chris Christie may not be into Bruce Springsteen's new album. The New Jersey governor, a die-hard Springsteen fan, was caught nodding off at a concert at New York's Madison Square Garden. A fan sent in a photo of Christie resting his head in his hand, apparently napping during the show, the New York Post reports. But he did appear more engaged earlier in the night.

“The governor was very active during the show,” another source inside the concert told the paper. “Bruce started talking about ‘supporting food banks in New York and New Jersey,’ and ‘how people have been hit hard,’ and Christie was riveted. Then Bruce performed ‘Rocky Ground,’ and Christie visibly started fading.”

Last month Christie attended what he said was his 127th Springsteen concert. The governor hired a Springsteen cover band to play at his inauguration after the Boss turned him down because he "doesn’t want to get involved in state politics."

Christie's name has been tossed around as a potential running mate for Mitt Romney. He was pushed to run for president himself in 2012 says he will be "much more ready" in 2016 if he decides to seek the GOP nomination.

Give him a break. Just prior to the concert he had a delicious gourmet meal consisting of four poor Camden children.

In the day we sweat it out in the streets
of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory
in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on Highway 9
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected
And steppin' out over the line, oooh,
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
'Cause tramps like us, baby we were bornZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Somebody else would have liked to have that seat (seats?) and probably would have stayed awake. I'm sure that it wasn't cheap. Might as well light money on fire.

So Christie MAY be a running mate with Romney. So nodding off at a Springsteen concert is news? Come on, liberal media, is this the worst thing you can come up with?

Explain to me, oh Christie fan, how quitting his elected post as governor would be running out on his obligation to his constituents (his words)...but quitting same post to run as VP isn't?
Thanks for playing. ;-)

You must be responding to another comment. Nowhere did I say I was a Christie fan. Nowhere did I say one thing or another about what he did or didn't do as Governor. Nowhere did I suggest he is running for VP (isn't that up to Romney?). All I said was the liberal media is again taking whatever shots they can at a conservative. Nodding off is newsworthy? Really? REALLY??
