Greg Moody, Rockies Reporter, Interrupted By Truck With Body-Ad (VIDEO)

Opening day. It's a time for the local beats to roll out their puff pieces, talk to fans and get their viewers excited for the upcoming baseball season. That's what CBS4 reporter Greg Moody had planned for the Rockies' home opener against the San Francisco Giants on Monday. That is, until his live segment took an unexpected turn.

At the very beginning of his live report from outside Coors Field, a truck parked directly behind him with a giant image of a half-naked model on it.

Moody could only laugh and say "interesting background" as he walked away and started up again a few feet to his left.

Kudos to Moody for handling the awkward moment so well.

This is a perfect example of why people don't trust journalists/reporters to be above compromise.

If I was the news director, that guy and his photog would be in my office explaining the remarkable "coincidence"

1. Did the reporter get paid to allow that to occur?
2. How much?
2. If yes - if there was some quid pro quo - do other reporters do it? News reporters?
3. How much do they charge?
4. Is there the direct exchange of money or "favors"?
5. Does it compromise their stories? Influence their presentations?

6. How would you ever know? (You wouldn't.)
7. Therefore, if the sports guy is selling his live shot for an ad, wouldn't we just be smart to assume that other reporters are selling their stories to a person who might be negatively affected by the otherwise truth?

It's OK... we just keep selling a small piece of our ethics and morals a little at a time... and we high-five afterwards.

I must have missed that segment but then if this was earlier in the day, I was working so didn't get all that excited about opening day although the Rockies got their butts handed to them.

I guest he wasn't strong enough to stay put. Here's the deal, if you move away then you're thinking about that ad on the truck. Suppose if it were the beach. A reporter should feel strong to his or her mind and be able to go to any environment without being distracted.
I bet all his co-workers were laughing at him.

Nah! My money says this was a setup between the reporter, and Diamond Cabaret from the get go, and the reporter got paid for it. If not in money, probably free drinks, food, etc..
