Jason Segel Nudity: 'Five-Year Engagement' Doesn't Feature Full-Frontal Scene

Jason Segel Isn't Naked In 'Five-Year Engagement'

The charming romantic comedy "Five-Year Engagement" has started screening around the country -- producer Judd Apatow was retweeting fan responses on Tuesday night -- and while it shares the same creative team behind "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," the film isn't an exact replica. For instance, fans won't see any full-frontal nudity from star Jason Segel.

Segel's behind gets prominent placement in "Five-Year Engagement," but despite filming an equal opportunity frontal scene, director Nicolas Stoller felt that it seemed like too much.

“When I looked at the scene in the new movie, it did seem gratuitous," he told the Los Angeles Times. "I was like, 'This doesn’t work.'"

Segel famously went full-frontal in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," the 2007 comedy he co-wrote with Stoller. That scene still resonates to many this day.

"You know, between 'There's Something About Mary' and then Jason Segel -- and, apparently, he's doing it again; he just loves flumping his [penis], apparently -- and now me and Michael Fassbender last year, yeah, I don't know," said "American Reunion" star Jason Biggs to HuffPost Entertainment when asked about his nude scene. "Pretty soon people will become desensitized to it."

Perhaps, but not enough to keep Segel's little Segel in "Five-Year Engagement."

Starring Segel and Emily Blunt, "Five-Year Engagement" follows a couple through their five-year engagement. It premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival next week and arrives in theaters on April 27.
