Is trouble ahead for Detective Olivia Benson and her new beau, ADA David Haden, on "Law & Order: SVU"? In HuffPost TV's exclusive preview of "Justice Denied," (Wed., April 11, 10 p.m. ET on NBC), the past comes back to haunt Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and threatens to derail her new relationship with Haden (Harry Connick Jr.).
One of Benson's old cases is reopened after the detective meets a victim who describes a similar ordeal to a case she solved eight years ago. The squad is forced to reopen the case to determine whether it's a copycat rapist or wrongful imprisonment, leading to friction between herself, ADA Haden and Bayard Ellis (Andre Braugher). For Benson and Haden, their relationship and careers are on the line.
"Ellis knows that our relationship has nothing to do with this case," Benson tells Haden.
"He does, but it gives him a grenade," Haden says.
Hargitay told "Today's" Ann Curry that the episode is "truly one of (her) favorites."
