Selena Gomez Perfume Bottle: How Does It Rank? (PHOTOS)

If you pay attention to such things, you may have heard that Selena Gomez has finally unveiled her new perfume called, appropriately, Selena Gomez.

As you might expect from the Disney Channel-born, pop charts-bred 19-year-old, the bottle is big and purple and has little lips exploding out of the top. "I knew I wanted a tall bottle, because I feel like it can kind of stand up with all the other fragrances," Gomez told Women's Wear Daily. It's also intended to look like a swirly ball gown, to match the purple gown Selena will wear in the ad campaign (which was shot underwater).

In any event, we had our doubts when we saw the bottle. We know Selena is not even out of her teens, but tiny little lips? Not what we would have picked for an elegant debut fragrance.

But hey, that's just us and we clearly have our preferences. Below, a roundup of some of the cheesiest/tackiest/confusing perfume bottles up against the ones we will never stop loving. Chanel Chance? Your sleek, round shape always has a place in our hearts. Britney Spears Curious? Well, not a chance.

See for yourself and vote: do you agree with our faves? Which perfumes did we left off?

Interestlingly the classic scents come in very plain classic bottles. Kinda goes to the

less is more aspect-bottom line it's what's inside not what's it's in that you want.

Lola: Punish the deed not the breed

JLO is one of the most frustrating perfume bottles to use. The neck is way too long, so that when I try to use it, my index finger has to stretch so that my palm is no longer able to grasp the bottle. So I either have to hold it with two hands, one to hold the bottle and the other to spritz, awkward, or hold it with from the long neck with my palm and use my thumb to spritz, still awkward.

Nice scent, but way too much drama to use. Very disappointing, because I like the scent. I'm looking foward to using it out and throwing away the bottle.

Wow. They actually pulled out "Exclamation" for this. I haven't seen that since I was 12.

Vera Wang missed a very good opportunity on shaping her perfume bottle. You know what I'm talking about.

Well, I liked Katy Perry Purr, but I'm biased.

This is kind of one sided... You can't compare Chanel 5 to whatever that Selena Gomez scent is called! It's like comparing a Porche with a Tata Nano or something.

It's nice to see we haven't completely gone over the cliff, as the world's first designer perfume, CHANEL No. 5... is still #1.

I did not realize how bad this whole celebrity perfume movement had become until I was recently in a Walgreens and saw an 8-foot wall stocked to the gills with what seemed like dozens of different celeb scents, including names I could barely acknowledge as celebrities.

Is the idea that today you want to smell like Justin Beiber and tomorrow Usher or one of those homely and hirsute Kardashians?

Why can't we buy celebrity endorsed deodorants or does that already exist?

Seems the author was pretty biased: designer frangrance bottles good, celebrity bottle bad. I use Juicy Couturek, but the Hilton, Bieber, Spears bottles are fine.

I don't think the writer is being "biased" - it's just a fact that the designer bottles are more attractive. The celeb bottles are tacky and busy; that said, Justin's perfume bottle would have been fine if he hadn't blatantly copied Marc Jacobs' Lola.

I love the Vera Wang princess bottle I think it's super cute.
