Wedding Music: Tweeters Create The Ultimate Reception Playlist

Posted: 04/11/2012 6:04 am Updated: 04/11/2012 12:03 pm

It's tough to please everyone's musical tastes at a wedding reception: you know that your 13-year-old cousin will pester the DJ with requests for Justin Bieber's "Baby," and Aunt Cecelia has already sent you a pre-wedding reminder about her preference for Celine Dion's "The Power of Love."

What's a crazed-with-planning couple to do? To help you out, we polled the Twitterverse to get suggestions for must-play wedding songs. Take a look at our "Ultimate Reception Playlist", and let us know your number one reception song in the comments.

Without a doubt, one of the worst lists, anywhere. There were maybe 10-15 usable songs here. Some had to be a joke. Complete waste of time. Too bad, it was an interesting idea.

I really like 'It Had To Be You' but the big band effect is a little heavy.

DJ at a Wedding = Bad Wedding.

You MUST have a live Band.

Take the time to find a good band, DJ's are just sad and lame(even their mother's are embarrassed by them)!

Maybe YOU must have a band, but not all of us agree. Most bands I know can't play the Mexican, alternative, new wave, Latin freestyle, R&B, Motown, dance, pop, rock, reggaton, electro, and some country my family and my husband's family gets down to. Only a DJ will sufffice.

totally disagree i had a dj and my wedding was great!! i had a variety of music everyone dancing and having a great time no complaints about a dj here loved it!! a band is not diverse enough for my group of friends and family!!
