Marilyn Monroe Reality Show: 'Finding Marilyn' In The Works

Get Ready For A Marilyn Monroe Reality Show?!

A Marilyn Monroe reality show is in the works. Seriously.

"Finding Marilyn," which is being produced association with the estate of Marilyn Monroe, will feature 12 young women competing for a chance to make it big in Hollywood.

"We are thrilled to give the winner of 'Finding Marilyn' the opportunity to emulate Marilyn Monroe's iconic journey to stardom," Nick Woodhouse, CMO of the estate of Marilyn Monroe, said in a statement.

The Marilyn Monroe reality show comes hot on the heels of the Michelle Williams film "My Week With Marilyn" and NBC's "Smash," which follows the behind the scenes drama of the making of a musical about Monroe.

The show is described as "real-life Cinderella story" about 12 young girls who go to Hollywood to compete to become "the next great American icon."

Entertainment One will produce alongside Monroe's estate. Executive producers include eOne's John Morayniss, Rick De Oliveira, Tara Long, and Jamie Salter and Joel Weinshanker from the estate of Marilyn Monroe.

"We're very excited to make someone's Hollywood dream come true," John Morayniss, CEO of Entertainment One Television, said in a statement. "'Finding Marilyn' has all the ingredients for an epic reality series."

No prize or network have been announced.
