Jim Gaffigan Thinks Phone Photos Are Ruining America's Children, He Tells Conan (VIDEO)

WATCH: Jim Gaffigan Is Tired Of Phone Photos

Jim Gaffigan stopped by "Conan" on Thursday to promote his new special, "Mr. Universe," and told Conan about a particular pet peeve of his: Americans take way too many photos on their phones. Especially of their food.

In an age when a simple photo sharing app can be sold to Facebook for a billion dollars, Gaffigan isn't wrong in thinking that we've hit peak photos. In fact, it has been claimed that 10% of all photos ever taken were taken last year alone.

And Jim is pretty unimpressed with the idea that we're putting the technology to good use. "It's not as if ten years ago, we were like, 'I wish I could take low quality photos of my dessert.'"

Plus, as a father of four, he's worried that kids will be spoiled by having their entire lives photographed. "I have more pictures of my children than my father ever looked at me," Gaffigan deadpanned.

Conan and Jim also reminisced about their time together doing a series of animated shorts called "Pale Force" back on Conan's "Late Night." In fact, a fan even gave Jim some custom dolls of his and Conan's superhero likenesses, with one of them looking significantly better than the other.

Gaffigan's new stand-up special is the latest to follow the so-called "Louis C.K. model," where customers can buy the special for $5 on his website, as opposed to buying the DVD or catching the special on cable. Part of the proceeds will go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation to aid veterans and their families.
