As New Yorkers scramble to file their tax returns before the April 17th deadline, one restaurant is thinking ahead and planning a lavish dinner in hopes to reap the benefits of your government kickbacks.
Triomphe, the self-declared "Midtown's favorite restaurant" is hosting "The Great Write-Off" dinner for big spenders. The ostentatious meal includes a 12 course tasting dinner serving up everything from Ossetra caviar, Spring Colorado lamb rack, and foie gras.
All for the hefty, tax-return-themed price of $1040.
One of the restaurant's signature dishes, Scallops with Porcini Mushrooms.

Sure, it may not be amongst the most prudent decisions you've ever made, but if you feel like throwing caution to the wind and dining like a king, Triomphe has a table waiting for you.
Who knows, maybe you'll be seated beside the ladies of MVPleez, who have been singing about "spending lost wages down to the dime" in honor of tax return season. The duo have a pretty hilarious, ill-advised rap on what you can do with your direct deposit refund, which includes Seventh Avenue shopping sprees and dinners at Barbuto.
