On Friday, actress Alex Vega (“Spy Kids,” “From Prada to Nada”) tweeted the following to her fans: “Going back to blonde! Ahhh. So weird. Gonna miss my dark hair...But today is a new beginning. Starting fresh.”

After spending hours at an L.A. hair salon on Friday, Alexa sent The Huffington Post an exclusive photo of her new blonde look (see the photo above!) this morning.

While Alexa seemed really excited about dying her hair , not everyone was thrilled about her decision to go from brunette to blonde. One of Alexa's followers (@Jairo_Rockzz on Twitter), had this to say about the change in hair color. “Nooooo! You look prettier and HOTTER with dark hair... Well actually you look great being a blond too, but...Idk!” Alexa replied, saying: "lol. Goin back to blonde for a movie."

Vega, 23, is best known for playing Carmen Cortez in the "Spy Kids" film series, and for her role as the title character Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family sitcom, "Ruby & The Rockits."

More recently, the half-Colombian actress starred as Gaby Rodriguez, the real-life seventeen-year-old high school senior who secretly faked a pregnancy as a social experiment, in the new Lifetime movie "The Pregnancy Project."

On October 10th, 2010, Vega married producer Sean Covel in a ceremony held in his hometown of Lead, South Dakota. She was walked down the aisle by her friend, Mexican writer-director, Robert Rodriguez.

What do you think of Alexa's new look?
