In 1959, humorist Tom Lehrer wrote "The Elements," a song to the tune of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Major General's Song" which recites all the elements on the periodic table. In 2012, a 3-year-old named Rose sings that song on YouTube.
Rose's father, who posted the clip, apologizes for not putting a bullet through his daughter's laptop or telling her about Joseph Kony, like other dads have done in recent viral videos. But, her adorable 2-minute rendition, complete with several cute mispronunciations and dad's helpful subtitles, is on its way to becoming an Internet sensation too.
Watch the clip below, then check out Rose's first foray into science, at just 26 months old. While most of her peers were mastering the ABC's and their "I'm a Little Teapot" dance moves, she was already memorizing her elements cards. These days, dad says Rose is more interested in the song, thanks to Daniel Radcliffe doing his own version.
