On December 19, 2011, Commissioner Marc Sarnoff and a collection of the usual suspects staged an orchestrated press conference on a piece of property on South Miami Avenue and 12th Street that had originally been targeted to be used for another downtown condo building before the economy went South.
With his flair for self-promotion, Sarnoff made the creation of this pocket park seem like a Christmas gift from Santa Claus, with amenities included for the dogs in the neighborhood.
