Dog Fighting Ring In Flint, Michigan Allegedly Run By 14-Year-Old (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

Genesee County Sheriff's Department officers in Flint, Mich., raided a suspected dog fighting ring and rescued several dogs, including two puppies.

ABC News reports that the suspected ring leader is a 14-year-old boy who was taken into police custody and later released pending a further investigation.

Three of the dogs were injured so badly that they had to be euthanized, according to Michigan Live.

"It appears that torture is also an issue here," Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell told Michigan Live.

Pickell added that some of the injuries sustained by the dogs, including deep bite wounds and fractured ribs, were "just brutal."

Though authorities are convinced they are dealing with a dog fighting ring, four of the dogs seized had to be returned to their owners because of a lack of evidence of wrong doing, according to NBC 25.

The Christian Post reports that dog fighting has become a bigger problem in parts of Michigan because of the financial rewards it can produce for ring leaders.

I am flabbergasted and sick to my stomach after reading this...AND THE DOGS WERE RETURNED TO THIS MONSTER??? What's going on in MI??? If you are a resident of Michigan, you need to step up and insist these animals be removed from this house, permanently. This is absolutely horrifying. The boy needs to be locked up, and his parents with him, forever.

I have to agree with some of the commenters here: There is no way this kid was doing this without the support from his family or friends. Even if he somehow managed to find the time and money to train these dogs, there's no way he was able to do it without the knowledge of his those around him. Someone has given this boy not just financial support, but general acceptance of his actions. Every adult in his household needs to be investigated.

These kind of people (whether 14 or 54) do not deserve any kind of mercy or understanding. They must be removed from society permanently, either by super big prison terms or execution.

It will save the lives of many dogs and the life of a human sometime down the line if this kid is taken off the streets forever.

Sometimes adults teach kids to run the show because when kids get caught they don't get into as much trouble. Adults are behind these dogs being used as bait dogs. It wouldn't suprise me if his parents totally supported him. Somebody was buying the dogfood. The dogs in the videos looked too heathy to be taken care of by a 14 year old alone. Most bait dogs are not pit bulls or any type for bully mix. They don't want their prized fighters injured during training. One 14 year old boy who goes to school does not have the time or money to take care of 5 dogs.

Gave the dogs back to their "owners?" They aren't slaves, they are sentient beings who deserve love and empathy, something obviously missing from these "owners" Disgusting. These people need to be punished SEVERELY.
