Google Target Of New Federal Privacy Probe

Hard on the heels of being fined $25,000 for allegedly blocking a federal privacy investigation, Google (GOOG) is enmeshed in a second federal probe into its privacy practices that could soon bring an even more painful hit to the search giant's pocketbook, this newspaper has learned.

Fined them $25,000? You joking? $25000? And people wonder why corporations never stop doing their corrupt, immoral, illegal activities. Fine them a % of their total income. And fine them more if they jack up the prices of their product afterwards. If they still mess up imprison the top tier executives without bail until trial.

Spot on. If the dollar benefit Google obtains from a violation exceeds the dollar amount of the fine incurred as a result of the violation, then guess what? The crime pays for itself! Crime pays.
