Just when you were getting excited about a goth celebrity wedding comes the news that aging shock rocker Marilyn Manson is not engaged to actress and filmmaker Seraphim Ward.
"Marilyn Manson is not engaged to Seraphim Ward. He has never met her," said his publicist in an email to The Huffington Post.
On Monday, Life and Style had reported that Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, had proposed to his 27-year-old girlfriend on Thursday night. The magazine claimed that Manson, 43, had proposed with a family ring, which Ward's friend believed once belonged to Manson's grandmother.
Despite his controversial appearance and personal style, Manson is rarely without a pretty girl at his side. The rocker was engaged to actress Rose McGowan but the two ended their three-year relationship in 2001.
Manson went on to marry model Dita Von Teese in 2005, but the couple divorced in 2007.
Soon after his divorce he began dating actress Evan Rachel Wood, who is 18 years his junior and who radically changed her personal style, seemingly to mimic that of Manson's ex-wife Dita. The two dated on and off for years before finally calling off their engagement in October 2010.
Most recently, Manson was linked to indie darling Lana Del Rey after the two were spotted chatting at the Musik Hilft charity event last month.
