Owen Patrick Kennedy: Patrick Kennedy, Amy Petitgout Welcome Baby Boy

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Former Rhode Island U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy and his wife, Amy Petitgout (PET'-ah-goo), have welcomed a baby boy to their family.

Owen Patrick Kennedy was born on Sunday at 5:30 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces. The birth was announced in an email sent by Kennedy's brother, Edward Kennedy Jr.

Patrick Kennedy, the son of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, married Petitgout in July. Petitgout is a middle school teacher from Brigantine, N.J., and has a young daughter, Harper, from a previous marriage.

The email says Harper is happy to be a big sister and Owen "stopped crying only when he was in his big sister's arms."

Since leaving Congress in 2011, Kennedy has been campaigning to boost brain research. His father died from brain cancer in 2009.

After reading these posts I find it says so much about certain right wing leaning individuals. You must be so brainwashed that you can not even hear about a baby being born to a family that happens to be Democrats without nasty comments. Why must you attack a birth as if this innocent child is part of a conspiracy and attack others when they are only offering congratulations? Were you raised to be such hatefilled followers that you just spout whatever party line comments you hear on Fox Network.I would really like to see an intelligent non- sarcastic response to these comments to explain your side.
