Bravo's freshman reality show "Shahs of Sunset" has been renewed for Season 2, according to star Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi. Appearing on "Good Day NY" (weekdays, 7 a.m. ET on Fox) GG may have spilled the beans on the show's renewal, which has yet to be formally announced by Bravo.
"We got picked up for another season ... We just got the word," she told Rosanna Scotto.
However, a Bravo source disputed GG's report, telling HuffPost TV that no official decisions have yet been made regarding the show's future.
The Ryan Seacrest-produced reality show, which focuses on the lives of a group of wealthy Iranian-Americans living in Los Angeles, has drawn solid ratings for the network. Its premiere episode debuted to 1.1 million viewers, beating out Bravo stalwart "Bethenny Ever After." Its third episode jumped to 1.5 million and set a series-high for ratings. (Note: Ratings for the "Shahs of Sunset" finale were not available at the time this post was published.)
Let's just hope that GG doesn't go spending all her future earnings on a shopping spree before Bravo confirms the renewal.
