Sheridyn Fisher PETA Ad: Playboy Bunny Poses In Lettuce Bikini (PHOTO)

Posted: 04/16/2012 7:05 pm Updated: 04/17/2012 1:59 pm

Just a week after Easter, Playboy bunny Sheridyn Fisher is the latest star to strip for PETA's latest GoVeg campaign.

The model and actress is photographed in a lettuce bikini, flirtatiously holding a pair of lettuce bunny ears over her head with the caption: "Be A Bunny's Honey. Go Vegetarian."

"Easter is the perfect time to help bunnies - and pigs, chickens, cows and other animals - simply by choosing not to eat them," Fisher says in a blog post on PETA's web site. "Vegetarian meals are healthy, humane and helpful to the environment, so they're something every bunny can enjoy."

Fisher joins a long list of celebrities to strip for PETA –- including Pamela Anderson, Eva Mendes and Elisabetta Canalis -- who have teamed up with PETA and its affiliates to help animals.

Many groups suggest that eating less meat is better for your health, an idea supported by PETA's description of factory farming conditions:

Chickens have their sensitive beaks seared off with a hot blade, and male cattle and pigs are castrated without any painkillers. Farmed chickens, turkeys, and pigs spend their brief lives in dark and crowded warehouses, many of them so cramped that they can't even turn around or spread a single wing. They are mired in their own waste, and the stench of ammonia fills the air.

PETA exists only to ensure that PETA continues to exist. Nothing more.

I didn't even know you could get lettuce that big. To cover me up they'd have to use pumpkin shells and they'd have to use the big ones like the 500 pounders, that's the only way they'd be able to cover up my saggers.

Why didn't they show her posing in front of the corpses of the thousands of animals PETA euthanizes?

How long did it take that lettuce to wilt from the twin heat sources?

The lights and ... oh, bother... get your mind out of the gutter.

It is hard to applaud PETA for advocating more enlightened attitudes toward animals ("They're more than a piece of meat!") when they simultaneously hold such enlightened views toward women.....whom they routinely exploit and degrade precisely LIKE THEY are just pieces of meat.

I have heard people argue that the discrepancy serves to highlight the rightness of PETA's philosophy, but that argument is laughably hollow because whenever the organization's latest campaign is unveiled, it is all about people ogling naked women and not about their ironic tactic making people see the light, embrace vegetarianism, and maybe even write a check.

While PETA (People Exploiting T**** and A**) may claim that it loves animals, it is clear that it holds women in the lowest possible regard.

Not meat..FISH, fish is the brain food. That's what separated us from the Neanderthals.
07:05 PM on 04/17/2012
Xenophobe. There is evidence that Neanderthals were not the stupid cavemen that they are often made out to be, including evidence that they fished with tools. I'd also like to point out that there is evidence to suggest that there was breeding with Neanderthals, if you are of European descent you are likely to be related to a Neanderthal. Think before you make Xenophobic comments in the future.

What? You got something against Neanderthals? Just because we're assimilated doesn't mean we don't have feelings too.

Stay away from ASPCA the late nite sappy music appealing for dollars. Most of their money goes to rhabbing pitbulls and fighting BSL. Support PETA as they support spaying and neutering pitbulls to end the breed kill cycle and they supports bans to stop the maulings.
