HuffPost and our friends at Entertainment Tonight corralled a bevy of TV and movie stars and asked them a simple question: When did it all start?
We asked the likes of Jim Carrey, Fran Drescher, Carrie Ann Inaba, Penny Marshall, Bonnie Franklin and more to identify the moment they knew they had to be entertainers. "The Moment I Knew" is a HuffPost series that invites readers to identify moments that shaped their lives. You can see the video of their responses below.
Drescher said that she discovered acting didn't really feel like work -- and that's when she knew she had to make it her job. "That's what seemed the least like work," she said. "I could do it any time anybody asked me to, and I was happy to do it, so I thought, maybe I should try to make a living out of this."
Carrey had perhaps the most touching response, citing his father (a musician and accountant) as his inspiration.
Check out all of their responses and let us know which one you liked the best in the comments.
