What these overzealous gun "advocates" fail to appreciate is the impact of these laws on law enforcement and the very people who would take advantage of these overly permissive laws. Imagine a 911 call about shots fired and the responding officer having a few brief seconds on arrival to determine who is the "danger" to society before shooting a perceived threat to public safety!! It's equally likely that a "law abiding" citizen will be shot as a criminal!!
On second thought, maybe she should've signed it into law.....

This may be a sign of gross insecurity.

Why are these folks so adamant about having a gun everywhere they go?

I think someone's conscience is bothering them. They feel they have something bad coming to them and want a gun to ward off destiny.

Guns in the park? Why?
Guns in Church? Why?
Guns in the statehouse buildings? Why?

Why is it that no news man/woman ever presses these people to give an honest answer to the simple question; why?

How about because it is their right under the 2nd amendment, and they don't have to explain why!

Ha! If it was their right there would be no reason for all these news laws intended to give them that right.

Think about it.

Yes, until the backlash erupts. Then she will sign it as she does every other piece of Teaparty insanity.

Technically, her veto could be overriden. I don't know what the votes in the state house were.

The Senate passed it 19-11, and the House passed it 37-21. They would need to find an extra vote in the Senate, and they'd need 3 extra votes in the House to ensure the two-thirds needed to override the governor assuming everyone voted.
