Mwanza Flat-Headed Rock Agama Lizard Resembles Spider-Man (PHOTOS)

Move over Spider-Man: This Mwanza flat-headed rock agama lizard pictured below may give the beloved superhero a run for his money, both in terms of abilities and appearance.

Dining on a diet of locusts, crickets, mealworms and wax worms, this colorful critter can grow up to a foot long, according to Amusing Planet.

The images show the animal's bright red head, neck and shoulders and dark blue body. The lizard can also change its colors when frightened.

According to National Geographic, the lizard is from the Agamidae family and is found in Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya.

Images of the unique lizard first emerged on the Internet back in 2009, reports the Metro. Since then, the colorful lizard has become a popular exotic pet.
