Arguably the most important prom expense, the dress requires a lot of consideration and bargain hunting to find the perfect one. Think of your dress as an investment piece, and question if you'd be able to wear it to any future occasions before purchasing it. Weddings, bar mitzvahs and college formals are all good events to repurpose your dress for in the future. Search the sale racks at department stores, discount outlets, consignment shops and flea markets for a hidden gem that no one else will have.
