Topshop Bridal Is On Its Way! (PHOTOS)

In case Bebe, White House Black Market and J. Crew didn't have what you were looking for, Topshop has joined the wedding craze and announced the launch of a bridal collection.

The collection, reports Vogue UK, will be designed by Richard Nicoll, a young British designer best known for his oversized tees (and for that time Dolce & Gabbana bought his entire 2002 graduate collection while he was still a student at Central Saint Martins).

Topshop gleefully tweeted the good news:

Want to get married just so we can wear our @studio_nicoll bridal collection set to land in June. Can't give you a sneak peek but wow!

So no photos yet. But you can get a sense of Nicoll's aesthetic by peeking at his Spring/Summer '12 runway show, below. We're guessing that between Nicoll's propensity for t-shirts and Topshop's aggressively trendy tendencies, this collection will include a more casual, edgy take on bridal.

In other words, everything Bebe Bridal is not.

The three models in the first picture are so thin that they can no longer smile. Their dresses accentuate their breastless condition. Not my cup of tea.

I agree. The models all look clinically depressed. I wondered if they had girls that looked more attractive if they worried it might overshadow their designs, but either way it's not attractive or appealing. You're supposed to want to look like them when you see them in their clothes. Not in this case.
