Gabrielle Union Talks About Her TSA Hair Pat-Downs On 'Chelsea Lately' (VIDEO)

Gabrielle Union

The TSA is getting touchy again.

This time around Gabrielle Union was the subject of some hairy handling by the TSA and shared her tales on the "Chelsea Lately" show last night.

This isn't the first (and definitely won't be the last) time we hear about black women being targeted at airport security checkpoints for our hair.

The 39-year-old actress, who looked awesome in a short leather dress and leopard heels, explained how TSA agents have "pet her like a My Little Pony" and made fun of her after the whole ordeal.

Thankfully she's able to laugh about it--plus she has bigger things to think about, like her new movie "Think Like A Man," which hits theaters nationwide today.

Watch Gabby recount her unbe-weaveable experiences with the TSA in the video above...and check out pics from the New York City premiere of "Think Like A Man" in the slideshow below.

No, it's not the last time black women will be targeted. It's best to write to Pres. Obama and let him know you are concerned. These patdowns started in Nov. 2010, under his authority. Write to your Congressmen and Senators, too.

When did African-American women start fitting the profile of a highjacker and/or a terrorist?

My hair was recently patted down because the metal bobbi pins came up on the xray machine...The lady wasn't rough, and once she felt that they were pins, she moved on to the next.

Gabby was worried about them finding the weave roots.....If it were your real hair, there would not be an issue.....Who cares Gabby?

Or she was pissed that they were adding yet another invasive check to the check-in process.

What the Hella?!?

I'm a middle-aged African-American woman and got the "Hair Pat- down" by TSA 3 weeks ago in Detroit. And I wear natural hair, that was pulled back into a small bun. Not some giant Afro or Weave where I could possibly be hiding something.

The African-American female TSA woman knew this - she was wearing her hair in the exact same manner!

It was "wet-combed" flat, so her massaging of the now-dry roots destroyed any hope of me looking presentable afterwords. Again, SHE would know this!

I was thoroughly humiliated, and mad.

And totally grossed out.
I had just washed my hair and the dirty-nasty-blue-gloves of the TSA agent went all over my hair and scalp. TSA searches used underwear, etc, with those same gloves! (The gloves protect them - not us.)

I thought is was random.
I gathered my belongings in shock. I was there for a relatively long time.
No one else got the "head pat down." But thinking back, no one else black came through.

I had no idea that "African-American-women's hair" was some new TSA "profile."

Now, I am mad all over again!

(And yes, I immediately re-washed my hair-- including the 30-minute comb-out -- upon getting to my destination in NYC!)

If the empire would stop allowing stealing from other places and stay in this country, then maybe this paranoid feeling of being attacked would stop. Ten the U.S. could save billions and we could stop reducing our 'freedoms' and being child-like to low-level thinking minions who can't find real employment.

I don't think black women are targeted. I have been patted down while my black friend who I traveled with did not. I think they still target middle easterners, but don't want to look like they are so they randomly check us too.

obama is now president he needs to step up and change this , saying bush this or that is not relevant in 2012! and if romney wins he will be responsible in 2013 and beyond! civil rights violations and human dignity are non partisan issues!

Maybe the TSA woman just thought she was hot (Like most humans do) and figured touching her hair was the only thing she could touch without being fired. Cause she and Kerry Washington are duking it out for hottest black actress's in my book!
